Kurt Mussina
Chief Executive Officer & Board Member
Kurt Mussina brings over 30 years of international business expertise, specializing in leading global teams across the CRO, CDMO, and clinical research site sectors. In his role, he drives profitable growth by expanding sites, locations, and therapeutic areas while fostering key relationships with sponsors, CROs, principal investigators, and the clinical research community.
Previously, Kurt served as President of Frenova, the contract clinical research services company of Fresenius Medical Care (FMC), and held a concurrent role as senior vice president in FMC’s global medical office. Under his leadership, Frenova broadened its focus to cover chronic kidney disease and related conditions, establishing a network of over 550 principal investigators across 350 U.S. research sites. Kurt also led Frenova’s global expansion, leveraging an international network of 1,300 clinicians spanning 45 countries.
Kurt holds a bachelor of science in chemistry from Montclair State University and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.

Travis Milnes
Chief Financial Officer
Travis Milnes, chief financial officer, oversees corporate strategy, finance, tax, treasury, information technology, human resources, and contracts. He brings extensive experience in building teams and companies, Travis played a pivotal role at Advarra, Inc., where he led the finance department through 11 acquisitions, integrations, and four change-of-control transactions.
During his eight years with Chesapeake IRB and Advarra, he was instrumental in implementing standardized processes for an internationally dispersed team, instilling business discipline and rigor to support performance and growth objectives. Prior to his time at Advarra, Travis served as an audit manager with SB & Company, LLC. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Baltimore and is a certified public accountant.

Amy Henderson
Vice President, Clinical Operations
Amy Henderson, head of clinical operations at Paradigm Clinical Research, has more than a decade of experience in clinical research and medical industries. She is pivotal in building clinical research sites de novo and created a comprehensive playbook for site development to ensure operational excellence and consistency.
Demonstrating exceptional leadership, Amy has managed clinical operations, enhanced site performance, and ensured compliance with regulatory standards. Amy holds a bachelor of science in organizational leadership from Boise State University, an associate of science in biology from the College of Western Idaho, and a medical assistant certification from Carrington College.

Aleem Choudhry
Board Member
Aleem Choudhry co-founded Crane Street Capital in 2009 and serves as the managing partner. He has had over 18 years of private equity and transaction experience.
Prior to Crane Street, Mr. Choudhry was Principal and Co-Founder of the North American office of Englefield Capital, a London based middle market private equity firm. Prior to Englefield, he was a Vice President at FFL, a San Francisco based middle market private equity firm. Before private equity, Mr. Choudhry worked as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs and Wasserstein Perella, where he began his career.
Mr. Choudhry graduated from Stanford University with a B.S. in physics with distinction and a minor in economics. He was a member of Phi Beta Kappa as an undergraduate. He received an MBA with distinction from the Harvard Business School.

Nadine Fahoum-Nacar
Board Member
Nadine Fahoum-Nacar joined Crane Street Capital in 2017. Prior to Crane Street, Ms. Fahoum-Nacar was an Operations and Marketing Associate at 55 Capital Partners, a San Francisco based asset management firm. Before that, Ms. Fahoum-Nacar worked as a Trade Execution and Operations Associate at Ada Investments, a New York City based hedge fund.
Ms. Fahoum-Nacar graduated from Duke University with a B.S. in political science and markets & management, where she also played number 1 singles on the women’s varsity tennis team. She received her masters in international education with focus on international political economy from New York University.

Bill Doyle
Board Member
Bill Doyle serves as Director of Paradigm Clinical Research, Executive Director of Foundation for Hearing Research, Inc., which teaches listening and spoken language to young children who are deaf or hard of hearing, and Senior Advisor to the Perreault Birmingham Group, which provide investment banking and advisory services to private growth companies.
Mr. Doyle’s prior experience includes investing in and managing small and mid-sized growth and turnaround companies, raising equity and debt capital, and providing business and transaction advisory services. He has served as Managing Member of Hawkins Doyle LLC, President of Business Recovery Services, Inc., Managing Member of Doyle & Boissiere LLC, Head of Turnaround Investments at Govett, Ltd., Vice President at Alex. Brown & Sons, Inc., Manufacturing Manager at Allied-Signal, Inc., and Associate at Goldman Sachs, Inc.
Mr. Doyle holds a B.S.E. from Princeton University, magna cum laude, and an M.B.A. from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, where graduated as an Arjay Miller Scholar.

Chip Hurlburt
Board Member
Chip Hulburt has extensive experience leading service businesses in education, healthcare, technology, and training, with a particular expertise in managing multi-site operations.
He currently serves as the chief executive officer at Orthodontic Partners. Previously, Chip held the position of CEO and president at National Heritage Academies, which has grown to become one of the largest for-profit operators of K-8 charter schools in the United States. Prior to that, he spent 16 years in various leadership roles at Kaplan, Inc., including divisional president for two different fast-growing businesses. During this period, Chip played a pivotal role in developing Kaplan’s healthcare education and training programs for doctors, nurses, and dentists.
Chip earned a bachelor of science and an MBA from Drexel University.

Muhammad Azam, MD
Principal Investigator – San Diego, CA
Dr. Muhammad Azam is a family medicine physician based in El Cajon, California. He earned his medical degree from Saint Mary’s Hospital Medical School in London and completed his residency at Maelor General Hospital in Wrexham, Wales. Dr. Azam is actively practicing in San Diego, where he serves as a clinical instructor for family health and preventative medicine at the University of California, San Diego.
As a dedicated professional, Dr. Azam is a member of both the American Academy of Family Practice and the California Academy of Family Practice.

Shaun Berger, MD
Principal Investigator – San Diego, CA
Dr. Shaun Berger is a specialist in neonatal resuscitation and plays a key role in training volunteers for American Academy of Pediatrics helping babies survive programs. Dr. Berger has a background as an investigator in pediatric clinical trials, as well as extensive experience as a primary care pediatrician, pediatric hospitalist, and pediatric urgent care physician.
Dr. Berger is very active in the pediatric community and volunteers with the national steering committee for health volunteer overseas pediatrics programs, assisting them in their mission of improving global health through the education of local providers. Dr. Berger has taught or worked briefly in over 40 hospitals worldwide!

Gary Boone, MD
Principal Investigator – San Diego, CA
Dr. Gary Boone is a board-certified emergency medicine and family medicine specialist with extensive experience in providing comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages. He earned his medical degree from the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine, followed by an internship and residency at the University of California, San Diego.
Dr. Boone specializes in the management of diabetes, heart failure, hypertension, and a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions.

Thomas Campbell, MD
Principal Investigator – Wheat Ridge, CO
Dr. Thomas Campbell is a board-certified ophthalmologist with over 30 years of experience in comprehensive eye care. He earned his medical degree from Georgetown University, completed his internship at St. John Hospital in Detroit, and his ophthalmology residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
Dr. Campbell provides medical and surgical treatment for a range of eye conditions, including cataracts, glaucoma, and diabetic eye disease, at his ophthalmology practice. He serves on the medical executive committee for Lutheran Hospital Outpatient Surgical Center and has held leadership roles at Lutheran Hospital and Lakewood Surgical Center. He’s active in ophthalmology and patient care organizations, including the Colorado Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and more.

Christopher V. Crosby, MD, PhD
Principal Investigator – San Diego, CA
Dr. Christopher Crosby is double board-certified in dermatology and micrographic dermatologic surgery. After graduating from Duke University, Dr. Crosby earned both his M.D. and a Ph.D. in molecular cell biology and pathobiology from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. He then completed his internship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center followed by his residency in dermatology at Emory University, where he served as chief resident. Following his residency, Dr. Crosby completed his fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and procedural dermatology at the University of California, San Francisco.
Dedicated to lifelong learning and teaching, Dr. Crosby serves as an assistant clinical professor of dermatology at UCSD. With deep experience in both basic science and clinical medicine, Dr. Crosby has spent his career translating research into improved health and wellness for his patients.

Gelen del Rosario, MD, DrPH, FACOG
Principal Investigator – San Diego, CA
Dr. Gelen del Rosario is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist with over 20 years of experience in clinical practice, research, and education. She leads an organization dedicated to bridging the gap in maternal care by offering supplemental prenatal and postpartum services through in-home visits, telehealth, and in-clinic care. She also serves as the chief executive officer and medical director of a women-owned clinical laboratory.
Born in a rural area of the Philippines with limited resources, Dr. del Rosario immigrated to the United States, inspiring her commitment to equipping underserved women with the tools they need for healthier lives. Her medical training includes a degree from Ross University School of Medicine, followed by a general surgery internship at Providence Hospital and an obstetrics and gynecology residency at Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

Stanton Elzi, MD
Principal Investigator – Wheat Ridge, CO
Dr. Stanton Elzi is a board-certified internist with over thirty years of experience in managing complex medical conditions. He earned his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine and completed his residency at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver.
Dr. Elzi specializes in treating diabetes, pulmonary heart disease, hypertension, and other chronic health conditions.

Tara Erbele, MD
Principal Investigator – Boise, ID
Dr. Tara Erbele is a board-certified family medicine physician practicing in Boise, ID. Her passion for research led her to graduate from UC Davis with a degree in genetics, where she gained valuable experience working in a laboratory setting at UC Davis Medical School. Dr. Erbele then earned her medical degree at Albany Medical College and completed her residency in Boise, receiving comprehensive training in her specialty.
For several years, she provided full-scope family medicine, including outpatient clinical care, hospital care, pediatrics, and obstetrics. Later, she transitioned to academia, serving as an assistant professor of family medicine at the University of Toledo College of Medicine, where she instructed both medical students and residents.

Keri Erland, MD
Principal Investigator – Boise, ID
Dr. Keri Erland is a board-certified internal medicine physician in Meridian, Idaho. She earned her bachelor of science in pre-medical studies from Boise State University, graduating summa cum laude. She received her medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine (WAMI program) and was named Outstanding Idaho Student. She then completed her internship and residency at Oregon Health & Science University.
Dr. Erland is on the Board of Independent Doctors of Idaho and is currently president-elect.

Sheila Finch, MD
Principal Investigator – Redding, CA
Dr. Sheila Finch is a board-certified family medicine physician with over 35 years of experience. She earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin and specializes in the treatment of chronic kidney disease, asthma, hypertension, and other complex conditions.
Dr. Finch has extensive experience providing comprehensive primary care and has worked with diverse patient populations, managing both acute and chronic conditions.

Gopika Gangupantula, MD, FAAFP
Principal Investigator – Modesto, CA
Dr. Gopika Gangupantula is a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine, a diplomate of the American College of Diabetology, and a board-certified family practice physician. She specializes in advanced diabetes care, obesity management, and preventive health strategies and runs her own diabetes and obesity practice in Modesto. In recognition of her dedication to patient care, she received the California Medical Association’s Frederick K.M. Plessner Memorial Award. Dr. Gangupantula also serves as a preceptor for the local family medicine residency program and regional nurse practitioner and physician associate programs, training them in advanced diabetes management.
She earned a fellowship in diabetes from East Carolina University, completed her residency in family practice at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Chicago, and received her medical degree from BLDE University in India.

Christopher Hampton, MD
Principal Investigator – Wheat Ridge, CO
Dr. Christopher Hampton is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cornea, external diseases, and refractive surgery. He provides comprehensive ophthalmology with a focus on cornea conditions in his ophthalmology practice.
He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Johns Hopkins University before completing his medical degree at the University of Connecticut. During medical school, he was selected for the NIH Medical Research Scholars Program, where he conducted research on ocular tissue engineering and published in the field. He completed his residency at the State University of New York in Brooklyn, serving as chief resident. Dr. Hampton then pursued a fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh, gaining experience in advanced refractive procedures and ICL surgery.

James Herrold, MD
Principal Investigator – Boise, ID
Dr. James Herrold is an independent neurologist with over 25 years of experience practicing in the Treasure Valley. He earned his medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine, completed his neurology residency at Stanford University Hospital, and pursued a fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern at Dallas. He also served in the Army Medical Corps for 10 years, achieving the rank of Major.
Dr. Herrold specializes in treating a wide range of neurological conditions, including migraines, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, and Alzheimer’s disease.

Katherine Johnson, DO, MSc
Principal Investigator – Wheat Ridge, CO
Dr. Katherine Johnson is a board-certified infectious disease physician specializing in infections in immunocompromised hosts, travel medicine, and wound care. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathy from Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She further advanced her expertise through a fellowship in infectious diseases at Tufts Medical Center.
Dr. Johnson has extensive experience in clinical research with a focus that includes complex infectious diseases and preventive medicine strategies for at-risk populations. Dr. Johnson’s area of research focuses on complex infectious diseases and preventive medicine strategies.

Daniel S. Jones, MD
Principal Investigator – San Diego, CA
Dr. Daniel S. Jones is a board-certified pulmonologist specializing in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine. He earned his medical degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University and holds dual board certifications from the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Jones focuses on the diagnosis and management of pulmonary heart disease, asthma, COPD, interstitial lung diseases, and pleural disease, providing advanced care for patients with complex respiratory conditions.

Nazanin Kalani Williams, MD, FAAD
Principal Investigator – Wheat Ridge, CO
Dr. Nazanin Kalani Williams is a board-certified dermatologist practicing adult and general pediatric dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, and surgical dermatology in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
Dr. Kalani graduated magna cum laude from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. She received her medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Aurora, Colorado, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and Gold Humanism Honor Society. Dr. Kalani completed her internship at Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital in Denver, Colorado. She returned to the University of Colorado to complete her dermatology residency. She trained in multiple dermatology settings, including at the University of Colorado Hospital, Denver Health Medical Center, Veteran Affairs Medical Center, and Children’s Hospital of Colorado.

Surabhi Khanna, MD
Principal Investigator – San Diego, CA
Dr. Surabhi Khanna is a board-certified rheumatologist with extensive experience in clinical care, research, and education. She moved to San Diego in 2021 and established her own arthritis and rheumatology practice to expand access to specialized care. Additionally, she provides inpatient consultations at Sharp and Scripps hospitals.
She completed her internal medicine residency in Baltimore, conducted rheumatology research at Johns Hopkins University, and completed her training at the University of Pittsburgh. Previously an associate professor at the University of Cincinnati, Dr. Khanna founded and directed the scleroderma center and co-directed the connective tissue disease-associated interstitial lung disease program, pioneering collaborative care models for complex rheumatologic conditions.

Rafael Lupercio, MD
Principal Investigator – Redding, CA
Dr. Rafael Lupercio is board-certified in pulmonology and critical care medicine with over two decades of experience in diagnosing and managing complex respiratory conditions. He earned his medical degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine and completed his residency at the University of California, Davis Medical Center. He further specialized with a fellowship in pulmonology and critical care medicine at UC Davis.
Dr. Lupercio is experienced in treating conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, shortness of breath, and other critical respiratory disorders.

Tess Mauricio, MD, FAAD
Principal Investigator – San Diego, CA
Dr. Tess Mauricio is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in non-surgical cosmetic treatments and regenerative aesthetics. She earned her medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine and graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, San Diego.
Dr. Mauricio is the founder of a practice with clinics in San Diego and Beverly Hills where she focuses on personalized skincare, anti-aging regenerative medicine, and minimally invasive procedures. She is also a past president of the San Diego Society for Dermatologic Surgery and is recognized for her pioneering work in advanced non-surgical cosmetic treatments.

Matthew Miles, MD
Principal Investigator – Redding, CA
Dr. Matthew Miles is a double board-certified specialist in internal medicine and infectious disease with over 20 years of clinical experience. For nearly a decade, he has been conducting clinical trials with Paradigm Clinical Research, including numerous vaccine and treatment studies for conditions such as Clostridioides difficile (C. diff) and COVID-19.
Dr. Miles practices at a critical care specialist group and is affiliated with multiple hospitals, including Mercy Medical Center Redding, Shasta Regional Medical Center, and Vibra Northern California Rehabilitation Hospital. He earned his medical degree from the University of California, San Diego, and completed his internal medicine residency at the University of California, Davis Health System.

Steven Mings, MD
Principal Investigator – Boise, ID
Dr. Steven Mings is a board-certified dermatologist who owns and operates a full-service dermatology clinic, offering both medical and cosmetic treatments for conditions affecting the skin, hair, and nails. He holds teaching appointments at the Universities of Washington and Utah and serves as the department chair of dermatology services at the Boise VA Medical Center.
He earned his bachelor of science degree in chemistry from Gonzaga University, graduating magna cum laude. Dr. Mings completed his medical degree with honors at the University of Washington School of Medicine, followed by an internship at the University of Washington and a dermatology residency at the State University of New York in Buffalo.

Nathaniel Moore, MD
Principal Investigator – Aurora, CO
Dr. Nathaniel Moore is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Moore attended Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA for his undergraduate work and then attended Duke University School of Medicine and obtained his medical degree.
Dr. Moore then came to Colorado and completed his residency in family medicine at the University of Colorado’s Family Medicine Program at Rose Medical Center. He provides comprehensive family medicine services and has a special interest in addiction medicine, treating patients with opioid use disorder as well as alcohol addiction.

Vimal Nanavati, MD
Principal Investigator – San Diego, CA
Dr. Vimal Nanavati is a board-certified interventional cardiologist specializing in cardiovascular diseases and internal medicine. He completed his medical training in Chicago and his fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at the University of Illinois. Dr. Nanavati began his career in Northern California, where he developed the Arcata Heart Care Program and directed the first cardiac catheterization lab at Mad River Hospital.
Dr. Nanavati is recognized for his expertise in interventional cardiology and is an active member of the American College of Cardiology, the Society for Angiography and Interventions, the American College of Physicians, the California Medical Association, and the San Diego County Medical Society.

Kim Neyman, MD, FAAD
Principal Investigator - Wheat Ridge, CO
Dr. Kim Neyman is triple board-certified in dermatopathology, dermatology, and micrographic dermatologic surgery, with advanced training in microscopic diagnostic techniques.
Graduating summa cum laude from Emory University, Dr. Neyman earned a bachelor of science in neuroscience and behavioral biology. She went on to receive her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, where she was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. After completing an internship at Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital in Denver, Dr. Neyman returned to Emory University for her dermatology residency. She then advanced her expertise through a dermatopathology fellowship and a role as a clinical instructor of dermatology at the University of Chicago, gaining additional specialized training in skin disease.

Galina Nikolskaya, MD
Principal Investigator – San Diego, CA
Dr. Galina Nikolskaya is dual board-certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and in clinical neurophysiology by the American Board of Medical Specialties. She specializes in traumatic brain injury, neurological injury, nerve and spinal cord injuries, concussion, and post-concussion syndrome. Dr. Nikolskaya earned her Bachelor of Arts from Case Western Reserve University and her medical degree from Wright State University. She completed her neurology residency at UC San Diego Medical Center and her neurophysiology fellowship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.
Dr. Nikolskaya is an accomplished researcher. She has published on traumatic brain injury and co-authored an article in the Journal of Biological Psychiatry on FDG-PET glucose abnormalities and glossopharyngeal neuralgia.

Jose Rodriguez, MD
Principal Investigator – Modesto, CA
Dr. Jose Rodriguez is a board-certified family medicine physician. After earning his medical degree from UC Davis School of Medicine, Dr. Rodriguez completed his residency at Stanislaus Medical Center in Modesto, CA.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Rodriguez has held various leadership roles, including serving as the associate clinical professor of family medicine at UC Davis and as the chapter president of the California Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Rodriguez now serves as the medical director of a rural healthcare district in Northern California, where he remains committed to providing comprehensive care for diverse patient populations.

Sriram Sambasivan, MD
Principal Investigator – Redding, CA
Dr. Sriram Sambasivan is a board-certified nephrologist and critical care specialist with extensive experience in treating kidney disease, chronic renal failure, and critical care management. He earned his medical degree from Kilpauk Medical College in India before completing his residency in internal medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He then pursued specialized training through fellowships in nephrology, hypertension, and critical care medicine at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.
Dr. Sambasivan is an active member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the American Society of Nephrology, and he is dedicated to advancing renal and critical care therapies.

Kelly Siudzinski, MD
Principal Investigator – Boise, ID
Dr. Kelly Siudzinski is a board-certified gynecologist who has been involved in women’s health clinical research studies focused on endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome, and heavy bleeding caused by uterine fibroids. She earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital.
Dr. Siudzinski is recognized for her expertise in women’s health research, particularly in endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome, and heavy bleeding caused by uterine fibroids.

Delu Song, MD, PhD
Principal Investigator – San Diego, CA
Dr. Delu Song is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in vitreoretinal surgery and retinal diseases. He earned his medical degree, summa cum laude, from Peking Union Medical College in Beijing, China, followed by a Ph.D. in research at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Song completed his ophthalmology residency at the Scheie Eye Institute at the University of Pennsylvania and pursued a two-year fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at the Shiley Eye Institute at UC San Diego, where he received the Outstanding Fellow Teaching Award for his dedication to resident education and exceptional patient care.
Dr. Song is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists. He has served as an investigator in multiple national clinical trials and has contributed to over fifty peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and conference abstracts.

Norman Wall, DO
Principal Investigator – Redding, CA
Dr. Norman Wall is board-certified in internal medicine, addiction medicine, and geriatric medicine, with over twenty years of experience providing comprehensive care for elderly and vulnerable populations. He earned his medical degree from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed fellowship training in nephrology and geriatric medicine.

Dr. Roger Wyatt is a family medicine physician based in Middleton, Idaho. He obtained his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine and completed his residency at Phoenix Baptist Family Medicine in Arizona.
Dr. Wyatt practices in Idaho, where he runs a private medical practice and serves as an adjunct faculty member at the Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine. His expertise encompasses a wide range of chronic diseases.

Before attending physician assistant school, Kristina gained clinical research experience as a clinical research coordinator. In her role as a physician assistant, she has demonstrated extensive proficiency across diverse inpatient and outpatient clinical settings, including primary care, obstetrics, gynecology, and general surgery.

Joshua Binns has a wealth of experience in managing clinical research trials, having served as the executive director of research at Quality Medical Research in Nashville and worked as a biomedical clinical research coordinator at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He has contributed to significant clinical research studies in gastroenterology and tissue acquisition, among other areas.
Committed to maintaining high standards in clinical research, he is certified in GCP, IATA, BLS, crisis prevention and intervention, Columbia-Suicide Severity Rating Scale (C-SSRS), and is a Medidata certified professional. He holds a master’s degree in medical sciences from Ponce Health Sciences University and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Valdosta State University.

Laurie Cartwright, brings over 20 years of clinical research coordinator and medical assistant experience. She has recently held positions as a certified lead clinical research coordinator at organizations such as Velocity Clinical Research, Saint Luke’s Health System, and Advanced Clinical Research. Known for ensuring compliance, maintaining high standards of quality, and optimizing efficiency, Laurie consistently streamlines the research process to achieve successful outcomes.
Laurie’s clinical research expertise spans a diverse range of areas, including cardiology, chronic pain, dermatology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, genetics, lipidology, ophthalmology, pediatric endocrinology, psychiatry, pulmonology, women’s health, and more. She holds certifications as a clinical research coordinator, IATA certified, GCP certified, and BLS/CPR certified.

Beth Capozzi

Beth Capozzi is dedicated to advancing medical research, with over 30 years of experience in the medical field. She is a certified clinical research coordinator, specializing in various neurologic conditions. Currently, boasting 12 years of expertise in coordinating research efforts, she is at the forefront of investigating and addressing complex challenges associated with conditions such as Huntington’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, dementia with Lewy bodies, progressive supranuclear palsy, multiple systems atrophy, and cervical dystonia.
Adept at navigating the intricacies of clinical trials, Beth seamlessly handles all aspects, from patient visits and informed consent to patient recruitment, IRB submissions, and regulatory documentation.

Brenda Linares

Brenda Linares brings a diverse background in clinical research, patient advocacy, and healthcare administration to her role as recruitment and marketing coordinator. She earned a bachelor of science in biology from Grand Canyon University and holds certifications in human subjects research, responsible conduct of research, and clinical medical assisting.
With experience as both a research and medical assistant, Brenda is skilled in data analysis, patient outreach, and regulatory compliance. She develops recruitment strategies, manages vendor partnerships, and oversees marketing campaigns to optimize patient enrollment, tailoring each approach to the trial’s needs while enhancing the participant experience. Bilingual in English and Spanish, she is dedicated to improving access to clinical research.

Kristi Norton is dedicated to the advancement of clinical research, supporting the research community, and fostering increased accessibility to clinical trials for all. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and is currently pursuing a master’s in management and organization at the University of Colorado Denver School of Business.
With over 15 years of experience in research services and programs at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, Kristi has honed her skills in managing and coordinating research projects and grants. She is proficient in ensuring compliance, maintaining high standards of quality, and optimizing efficiency to streamline the research process, ultimately resulting in successful outcomes.

Sarah Sandberg
Regional Director – Central Valley, CA
Sarah Sandberg is a certified clinical research coordinator with extensive experience managing clinical trials across various therapeutic areas, including pulmonology, infectious disease, neurology, interventional studies, and diagnostic validation. Since joining Paradigm Clinical Research in 2016, she has played a pivotal role in maintaining strong communication and relationships with sponsors and ethics committees, while prioritizing patient safety throughout the research process.
Leading operational strategy and site management across our Central Valley sites, Sarah oversees all aspects of clinical trial coordination to ensure precision, efficiency, and successful outcomes at every stage, while maintaining compliance with FDA and ICH/GCP guidelines.

Jamie Williams
Regional Director
Jamie Williams is a clinical research professional with more than 10 years of experience in clinical operations, regulatory compliance, and process optimizations. She earned a master’s degree in clinical research administration from the George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. She is also a certified clinical research coordinator.
As regional director, Jamie oversees site operations and leads key initiatives, including EMR system transitions, audit readiness programs, and staff development. She brings a detail-oriented, quality-driven approach to research management. Jamie also teaches clinical research and leadership courses as an adjunct professor at the George Washington University School of Medicine.
